OpenCloner offers the Open SmartBurner application to Windows users all over the world who want to burn data onto CDs or Blu-Ray discs, create DVD or Blu-ray video discs, create and burn ISO files. From Open SmartBurner’s very simple interface you can do all these things with great ease.

The minimum system requirements for running Open SmartBurner are: Pentium II 450Mhz processor, 64MB of RAM, 5GB of free disk space, DVD burner, Windows XP.
The recommended system requirements for running Open SmartBurner are: Intel Core2 CPU, 2GB of RAM, 10GB of free disk space, DVD burner, Blu-ray burner, Windows 8.
If you want to burn Blu-ray discs you need an NTFS formatted partition, a Blu-ray burner, and at least 50GB of free disk space.

When you launch Open SmartBurner, a prompt shows up on the interface and invites you to select one of 4 burn modes:
1. Create a project to burn data files to a DVD data disc.
2. Create a project to burn data files to a Blu-ray data disc.
3. Create a project to make a DVD video disc from video files.
4. Create a project to make a Blu-ray video disc from video files.

With the first two burn modes you can burn documents, images, music, and other types of files onto a DVD or Blu-ray disc. With the last two burn modes you can create DVD or Blu-ray video discs for your media player. It must be mentioned here that Open SmartBurner can also create ISO files and burn ISO files.

Even though it has the word “open” in its title, Open SmartBurner is not open source software. The unregistered version can burn no more than 3 discs. To get rid of this limitation you must purchase a license.

With Open SmartBurner you can easily burn data onto discs, easily create DVD and Blu-ray video discs, easily create and burn ISO files.

Pros

The system requirements for running Open SmartBurner aren’t very high. You can pick one of 4 burn modes: burn data onto a DVD, burn data onto a Blu-ray disc, create a video DVD, create a Blu-ray video disc. You can use Open SmartBurner to create and burn ISO files.

Cons

Trial limitations: burn 3 discs only, nag screen.
